Video to MP3 / Audio
Pull the audio out of any video as MP3, WAV or M4A — or convert one audio file to another — all processed on your own device. Nothing uploads.
The page works offline. Your first conversion downloads a one-time audio engine (~25 MB) from a public CDN — after that it runs entirely on your device. The media itself is never uploaded.

The in-browser engine needs WebAssembly and modern JavaScript modules. Try the latest Chrome, Edge, or Firefox on a desktop.
Why convert audio in the browser?
Most free "video to MP3" sites upload your file to their servers. HeroTools runs a WebAssembly build of FFmpeg directly in your browser, so your media is processed on your own machine and never leaves it. The engine downloads once, then works offline. If MP3 is unavailable in your browser build, WAV and M4A always work — the tool will tell you and you can switch with one click.
